In 2025, SEPPES provided two explosion-proof sectional doors for the main door area of a chemical industry company’s plant, which constructed a set of more reliable safety isolation systems enclosures for the customer.
Project Background: Higher requirements for doors in high-risk environments
The use of this project is the main entrance and exit of the industrial plant. There are high frequencies in and out of vehicles, raw material storage areas close to the reality of the factors, and the entrance and exit protection puts forward strict requirements. The traditional rolling door or ordinary electric Sectional door lacks explosion-proof structure, an electrical system without protection, and there are serious security risks.

Solution: Tailor-made explosion-proof industrial door system

According to the customer’s site survey data, we designed two customized explosion-proof industrial doors for them, with specifications of W5000×H5500mm, adopting a vertical rising structure, high lifting efficiency, and occupying less space.
Key configuration highlights
Explosion-proof motor + explosion-proof control system: certified by China Ex d IIB T4 standard, effectively preventing sparks caused by electrical equipment;
Thick steel door plate + high-density filling: enhance the impact resistance and sealing, and heat preservation ability of the door body;
Safety Limit + Emergency System: Once sensing an abnormality. It can interrupt the power supply and operate manually to guarantee the passage and closure demand in extreme cases.
In addition, the door is equipped with flexible sealing strips around the body to strengthen the airtightness and avoid the leakage of dust and odor, which is extremely friendly to the highly sensitive production workshop.
Installation and acceptance: from manufacturing to commissioning completed as a whole
Our technicians participated in the whole on-site installation and construction to ensure the accurate calibration of the track and the stable access of the electric control system. After the commissioning of the door body was completed, several rounds of opening and closing tests were conducted. And the customer highly recognized the opening and closing speed, noise control and explosion-proof details.
After an on-site evaluation by a third-party safety monitoring organization. The system successfully passed acceptance, marking the formal commissioning of the plant door solution.
Project Effect and Customer Feedback
The two explosion-proof lifting gates have been in good operation for several months, especially in high temperature, high humidity and flammable environments, showing high stability and safety. Customer feedback indicated that the product not only enhances the professional image of the operation site. But also gives managers more confidence in daily inspections and safety audits.
